I’m the opposite, for some reason I’m irritated at “Bogie” it reminds of Humprey Bogard. I’ve always called him “Bogo” and have heard announcers and other team mates call him that, so I kept it up.

As for hockey nicknames, isn’t it practically a law that you shorten and add “y” or “ie”? There’s your nickname: Bogie! ;-)

LOL! I’ve been calling him Bogo all year. ;) I even asked @BenThrasher why Bogo (yes, I used that word) wasn’t playing for the US at Worlds. (said he’d been playing hurt) I L O V E that kid. Probably cause he’s a huge d man who is American. :D
Did you know the Caps also have a Kane? He played in Hershey this year. Found that out during the Cup final.
